"Commissioned by the 2015-2016 Maquoketa Valley, Iowa, High School Band and Boosters, Marissa's Lullaby was written in remembrance and celebration of a young junior high band student who passed away unexpectedly. This composition was written as a means for Marissa's memory to be part of her class's graduation ceremony and for her community to remember the brightness that she brought into the world around her.  

Marissa's Lullaby is an accessible piece of literature to help further develop your band's lyrical playing without being overly demanding. It is filled with peacefulness, hope, and happy thoughts. Your students and audience will thoroughly enjoy this caring tribute to a young band student lost too soon."
